💡 Charging tip: Best spots are the desks along the windows and anywhere on the second floor. Get there early if you need a guaranteed outlet.
Need to focus on paperwork? The second floor is your best bet — quieter atmosphere, less foot traffic, and enough space to spread out documents. Good for legal paperwork, job applications, or just getting your head together.
🥶 When It's Freezing — Critical Weather Nights
CRITICAL WEATHER TRIGGER

What Counts as a Critical Weather Night?

The City of Boulder activates extra resources when temperatures drop below 10°F or during heavy snow events. On these nights, extra options open up that aren't available otherwise.

⚠️ Don't wait to hear about it. If it's predicted to be that cold overnight, assume resources will activate and get to All Roads or a warming center before capacity fills. Being early matters on these nights.
OVERFLOW SHELTER

East Boulder Community Center — Overflow Warming Shelter

5660 Sioux Drive, Boulder — Map ↗

When All Roads hits capacity on critical weather nights, the city typically opens East Boulder Community Center as an overflow shelter. This is your backup if All Roads is full.

🚌 Free shuttle: The city usually runs a shuttle from the downtown area or All Roads to East Boulder Community Center on these nights. Ask at All Roads or call 2-1-1 to confirm shuttle pickup location and timing.
WARM UP SPOT

Downtown RTD Bus Station

14th & Walnut St area, Boulder — Map ↗

The indoor seating at the RTD station is a common spot to get out of the cold during the day. It's not an official warming center — it's technically for ticketed passengers.

⚠️ Heads up: Security can be present and may ask you to move on if you're not waiting for a bus. Best used as a short-term warmup option, not an all-day stay. Have a plan for where you're going next.

Boulder Creek — Library Bridge Area

The stone tiers right outside the library, down by the creek, are one of the best spots in Boulder when the weather cooperates. You're still steps from the library's bathrooms and wifi — best of both worlds.

Central Park

Canyon Blvd & 13th St, Boulder (just east of the library) — Map ↗

Plenty of grass and shade trees if you want to spread out away from sidewalks and foot traffic. Close enough to the library that you can easily duck back in if weather turns.

💡 Also home to free meals: Check the Food & Meals page — Central Park hosts regular free meal distributions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays near the Bandshell.
